This past weekend, I had to opportunity to photograph a fantastic event: The Dartmouth Makers Holiday Market. Hosted by King's Wharf, it was a busy weekend with lots of shoppers looking for locally made and handcrafted products. As I found my way through the crowd visiting each maker, I had a chance to meet many of the crafters and really enjoyed learning more about what they create and why they love being part of the Dartmouth creative community.
"The Dartmouth Makers is a non-profit volunteer driven society of artists and craftspeople who's vision is to create a vibrant Downtown Dartmouth arts community by creating opportunities to showcase quality work and promote local talents. Our vision is to create affordable craft shows where artists, crafters and makers can market and sell their work. Our aim is to have 2 shows a year, spring & winter with low table fees and free admission to the public that are quality juried events in selected Downtown Dartmouth venues."
I'm sharing a small selection of my favorites from the event. With so many fantastic vendors, there was something special for everyone!
