I had a great time at Podcamp Halifax again this year, I always do! It was my fifth time photographing the event. It's fun to see so many new faces and to catch up with friends I see every year. It's a busy day full of conversations about social media, blogging, web design... anything internet related. We have so much creative and technical talent here in Halifax! It makes me happy to see everyone openly sharing their ideas and experiences so others can learn. I personally really enjoy the socializing and networking that Podcamp provides. The World Tea House and Two if by Sea got the crowd going with coffee, tea and croissants in the morning and at lunchtime, Local Source provided delicious and healthy bagged lunches. I always make sure to grab a pint at the pub before heading back to watch Battledecks – my favorite part of the day when a few brave volunteers improvise hilarious presentations lead by random and ridiculous slides. (I will never never be brave enough to do this myself!)
We ended the "unconference" with a draw for an iPad donated by MindSea. Lots of sponsors and volunteers work hard all year round to make Podcamp a success! Ian Conrad, Craig Moore, Tracy Boyer and Joanne Macrae of The Hub Halifax are just a few leading the event. I'm afraid I would forget too many people trying to list them all here, so make sure you visit the Podcamp Halifax site to learn more about the sponsors and volunteers and to find out how to participate next year.

See you all at Podcamp 2015!
